Easy parmesan knots

Review by Lyndee:

Easy Parmesan Knots

1 tube (12 ounces) refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
1/4 cup canola oil
3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (I did use the green can stuff)
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes

Roll each biscuit into a 12 inch rope and tie into a knot; tuck ends under. Place 2 inches apart on a greased baking sheet. Bake at 400° for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
In a large bowl, combine the remaining ingredients; brush the warm knots with the mixture.  Yield: 10 knots.

This was a very cheap add to our lunch.  The parmesan knots felt much fancier than a normal biscuit or piece of bread and had great flavor.  I was not able to get my biscuits to roll into 12 inch ropes.  The longest I could get mine was about 5-6 inches.  It doesn’t make a difference though, as far as I could tell.  Once baked I covered with the mixture and served piping hot.  You don’t need to add butter or anything to these as the flavor is great.  This would pair wonderfully with a pasta or casserole.  It only cost $1.33 for the tube of biscuits and I had all the other ingredients on hand.
