Lava Lamp Experiment

Review by Rachael

Who isn’t fascinated by lava lamps!? So when we found a way to make one at home we had to give it a try!
We filled out bottle with water & added the food coloring.
We then added the vegetable oil & waited for it to separate.
We then added the salt & instantly we saw the bubbles falling to the bottom and coming back up. It was kind of hard to see in this bottle but you could see it happening. It also goes really fast so if the kids are paying attention they will miss it.

Really easy to do but done in a few seconds. Worth showing the kids how things react together but not worth doing more than once.
